Role Purpose:

  • Owns and provides leadership for the global supply planning activities for one or more product lines in CET, focusing on the next 13-20 weeks.
  • Works closely with:
  • Master Planners, to ensure effective integration between near-term and long-term plans
  • Multiple plant planning groups, to ensure effective integration between tactical plans and plant schedules and to ensure plant constraints and strategies are accurately represented in the tactical plan.
  • Product Line Management, to develop and execute allocation plans during times of constrained capacity, and to align on new product ramps and inventory targets.
  • Develop plans that enable superior customer service, low cost manufacturing, and optimized inventory and logistics performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Weekly tactical plan development
  • Utilize SAP IBP to generate a 13-20 week global tactical plan using demand forecasts & orders, inventory, and manufacturing performance.
  • Provide detailed guidance to the plants on WIP and FG production and shipment requirements to meet global demand and inventory targets by product code.
  • Facilitate global capacity allocation and achievement of inventory objectives.
  • Facilitate source changes and cross-plant production, ensuring supply continuity and driving cost & capacity requirements.
  • Maintenance of master data and key process updates
  • Maintain BOMs & routings in division data systems
  • Confirm key manufacturing performance assumptions for the tactical planning horizon
  • Analyze finished goods inventory to set targets in collaboration with master planners, plants and product line managers.
  • Set WIP inventory targets that align with finished good targets to enable reliable supply. Process Improvement
  • Continually develop improvements to the accuracy and effectiveness of tactical planning processes
  • Work closely with master planners, IT, customer service, product line managers, and plants to drive improvements in the areas of:
    • Intercompany order processes
    • Forecast accuracy
    • Inventory planning
    • Logistics


Performance Metrics:

  • Customer Service, Inventory, Logistics, and Manufacturing metrics



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Commercial Operations in a manufacturing company
  • Experience using various business systems including planning, ERP, or MES
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
  • Ability to work globally and cross-functionally
  • Ability to communicate up and down the organization



  • CET experience
  • APICS or equivalent certification (can be working toward it)
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with Power BI, IBP, or Llamasoft
