Role Purpose

 

The Technology Community Media Services team is the TC community’s Audio-Visual team. In this role, you will be part of this A/V team that enables innovation. The TC Media Services team takes care of the daily support of A/V equipment, meeting and event support, and photography and videography. The team also leads and plans the future direction of audio-visual technologies in the TC community. We are knowledge experts on many A/V topics and collaboration solutions. Key Responsibilities

 

• Hands on daily Audio-Visual support, setup, guidance, and planning for TC meetings and events, thus enabling innovation. This planning is often with other teams including the TC Events team, IT, Trades, etc.

• Work off of a daily schedule of meeting support and A/V setups.

• Troubleshooting and maintenance of A/V solutions.

• Answer helpline calls/troubleshoot issues remotely and in-person. Following up and solving recurring issues. Handling stressful situations when technology isn’t working properly for customers.

• Capturing photography and video content in a studio setting, labs, various venues, and for various events. This also includes the editing and distribution of the projects and files.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

 

Travel Requirements: 

 

Possibly 5% domestic travel as needed (training and trade shows) 

 

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

 

M-F, 7am-4pm (40-hour work week). Occasional off-hours work needed.

Experiences/Education - Required

 

• Associate degree required, (Bachelors preferred)

• 1-3+ years of experience in :  Audio and Visuals, or Media/Production, or similar IT roles. 

• Knowledge of online meeting platforms. Corning currently uses Microsoft Teams. (Zoom and Webex are requested occasionally.)

• Experience with common A/V systems and equipment. (Crestron, Biamp, various displays, projectors, microphones, webcams etc.)

• Experience with Microsoft Office programs. Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

• Experience shooting and editing photography and videos. (Basically, equal parts) Also strong understanding of hardware solutions for these (cameras, audio, lighting, etc.)

• Adobe Creative Suite experience.

• “Digitally Organized”: Emails, Calendar, Presentation Files, OneDrive, SharePoint, Share Drives, Thumb Drives, Photos, Videos, etc.

• Documentation: Process, Issue Tracking, Email.

• Maintain information security and strict confidentiality of information.

• Experience working with corporate customers.

• Creativity while working closely with customers to deliver services that fit their needs.

• Bending and lifting 50lbs, climbing ladders, and crawling under tables.

 

Experiences/Education - Desired

 

Soft Skills:

 

• Show a portfolio of work as a shooter and editor for photography and video.

• Work independently and as part of small teams often leading a project from concept all the way through to completion/distribution while balancing multiple priorities and being flexible.

• Ability to work with individuals at every level of the company including working with top management and business leaders.

• Develop strong relationships with customers.

• High level of professionalism and initiative.

• Values differences in people and ideas.

• Great communication skills, written and verbal. Communications should be efficient and timely.

• Self-educator with a desire to continue to learn.

The range for this position is $64,020.00 - $88,028.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
