As the Leader of Talent Acquisition, Americas and EMEA, you will ensure that Corning has the capability to meet global business requirements and growth plans by developing and implementing a strategic plan that delivers on the organization’s need for attracting top talent. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves position where you will be instrumental in ensuring a strong alignment between HR leadership and the recruiting partners supporting their businesses. Your role will also be the overall leader of two, very large, outsourced relationships: an RPO and an MSP.  The Role:

  • Leading (indirectly) an RPO team of about 50 talent acquisition professionals across the Americas and EMEA.
  • Responsible for Corning’s centralized Contingent Labor Management program (aligned under an MSP). Frequently consulted for advice on Contingent Labor MSP expansion outside of the US.
  • Recruiting model analysis and design: identifying what type of recruiting labor/model is necessary based on the need.
  • Leading expansion efforts, overall recruitment attraction strategies and integrating employer branding strategies for the organization.
  • Leading large-scale sourcing strategies to include a diversity recruiting strategy in partnership with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion office.
  • Ensuring consistency of all policies and procedures for Talent Acquisition.
  • Managing recruiting metrics in order to accurately assess the effectiveness of suppliers, talent acquisition processes, candidate quality and candidate experience. Identifying, capturing and reporting on these performance metrics, adjusting operations as required to deliver best-in-class results.
  • Designing and delivering talent acquisition programs and workshops for Corning HR and business leaders.
  • Ensuring that the regions are utilizing recruitment technology effectively.

Organizational Structure:

  • You will indirectly manage 2 regional Talent Acquisition managers who are supported by a largely outsourced team of about 50 talent acquisition professionals
  • The role reports to the Head of Global Talent Acquisition and works closely with our leader of University Recruiting and Employer Branding; our leader of Manufacturing/Hourly Recruiting; the office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; all Divisional HR leadership as well as the leaders of our RPO and MSP.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in human resources, sciences, business or relevant/prior career experience
  • 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition including a demonstrated record of success in managing a high performing multi-country talent acquisition team to include leading large outsourced relationships.

Other Skills/Attributes:

  • Understanding and knowledge of building a global talent pool.
  • Strong knowledge of US and international employment laws/regulations as they relate to recruitment activities.
  • Technology savvy/comfortable with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and evolving mechanisms for sourcing/tracking talent like social media (LinkedIn)
  • Ability to learn quickly and leverage a flexible mindset in response to shifting dynamics, adversity and/or change.
  • Solid track record of execution with positive results.

Location: We are a fully distributed global team and have the ability to support you in your remote work environment during Covid. In our post-Covid world, the preference is to work onsite in one of the following two locations:

  • Corning, NY, Corporate HQ located in the beautiful finger-lakes region of upstate NY or, alternatively;
  • Charlotte, NC, HQ to our Optical Communications business.
