General Responsibilities:

  • Manages key rotation/development programs to build Corning’s commercial talent and future General Manager pipeline.
  • Supports executive-level talent reviews focused on commercial talent.
  • Responsible for the Commercial Job family in the TrueBlue Development module.
  • Serves as a trusted coach and advisor to program participants, business leaders and HR partners.
  • May also serve as process owner for 1 or more enterprise talent programs/processes (e.g., executive development program, executive onboarding, etc.) within the Talent Management COE.
  • Member of the Talent Management Council.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Senior Leadership Talent Planning Support – Partner with CHRO and DVP, Talent Management to support the Management Committee’s talent planning routines.  Support HR Directors in preparing for these discussions.  Responsible for all metrics and reporting.
  • MBA/LEAD Program – Serve as program manager for MBA LEAD (Corning’s high-potential talent rotation program for MBA-level hires).  Partner with Talent Acquisition on MBA recruiting and summer intern program.
  • Commercial Talent Program – Responsible for the design and delivery of a new program focused on developing future commercial talent across all businesses.
  • Asia Commercial Talent Program – Responsible for the design and delivery of a new program focused on developing future commercial talent across all businesses.
  • Commercial Talent Development – Responsible for the Commercial job family in the TrueBlue Development module. Ensure ongoing maintenance of role profiles and career paths.
  • Key Role Talent Brokering – Partner with CHRO and DVP, Talent Management and HR Directors to manage talent slating for key commercial openings and innovation programs.
  • Commercial Talent Pipelining – Partner with HR team and Talent Acquisition to manage talent pipelining efforts for key commercial roles (e.g., PLM). Support early- and mid-career commercial talent acquisition efforts.
  • Talent Projects – Support enterprise and/or business specific talent projects (as needed).


Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required)
  • Graduate Degree in Psychology or HR-related academic discipline or MBA (preferred)


Required Years and Areas of Experience:

  • 10 – 15 years of experience in HR
  • 2+ years Internal consulting experience as part of a COE (desired)
  • 2+ years External consulting experience (desired)
