Scope of Role:

The system administrator for Talent Management has responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Goal Management, Performance Management, Succession Planning, 360 reviews, Development planning processes within True Blue. The role works closely with the other system administrators for True Blue, support vendor, internal IT resources, and other domain experts to help coordinate the implementation of new products and processes as well as the regular release updates pertaining to this stream.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides application support to Corning’s employee and BU HR community and remediates support tickets not resolved by the Service Desk – owns and manages the SF_Talent Management Service Now queue
  • Works with the support vendor to log and track issues; documents testing results and escalates issues as necessary – key facilitator of relationship with AMS vendor
  • Creates and maintains goal templates (including goal categories and other goal plan fields) used across the organization in the annual goal setting process
  • Maintains necessary customizations related to goal imports and goal updates
  • Identifies, analyzes, and documents application and data quality issues
  • Creates and maintains the performance management and 360° review templates used in the performance management processes
  • Oversees and maintains the mass distribution/launch of the annual performance review forms to the organization
  • Creates and maintains the succession organization chart configuration related to succession planning and talent searches
  • Works closely with the Role based permissions administrator to ensure that user permissions and roles related to the deployed talent management functionality meets business requirements
  • Responsible for maintaining the currency and accuracy of the knowledge base and configuration workbooks
  • Helps in the creation/updating of training material for end user community; reviews and updates communication/training material as needed
  • Works closely with the True Blue Communications and Training administrator to ensure training and communications materials are deployed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Actively participates in online and face to face Success Factors communities to represent Corning’s talent management strategies and practices; leverages relationships with other companies to share, understand and deploy best practices within Corning
  • Responsible for supporting (receiving, understanding, testing, updating workbooks) quarterly upgrades to True Blue for Talent Management

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 - 3 years related experience (HRIS, TM, Project Management, Testing etc.)
  • Consultative skills, broad-based knowledge of information technology and HRIS applications, and/or functional experience in talent planning, performance management, objective setting, development planning and succession planning
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a matrixed organization and geographical boundaries
  • Experience with ATS; SuccessFactors preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and work organization sills
  • Able to work on cross functional teams in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Demonstrates ability to build relationships, resolve problems, remove barriers and communicate effectively
  • Strong documentation, facilitation and communication skills
