The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Role Purpose

The Technology Center is recognized as the valued provider of technology services, software, and application support for the Workplace Services Division (WPS).  This position plays a role in supporting the operational needs of the division, allowing them to focus on their functional priorities.  Responsibilities of this role will include utilizing AutoCAD to create and update space and building drawings, as well as implementing and maintaining methods and procedures to ensure accuracy. Additionally, the role provides support for other specialized business database applications. The position will collaborate closely with the Engineering, Facilities, Global Real Estate, IT, Occupancy Planning, and EHS teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow methods and procedures to maintain accurate drawings & models to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with system administrators to ensure accurate information while utilizing AutoCAD to create and maintain space and building drawings.
  • Provide support for Facilities management.
  • Work with the Facilities team to maintain equipment and operations of the Facility Maintenance System.
  • Maintain process documentation and standards
  • Lead, or be a key contributor to, internal projects
  • Develop professional working relationships with team, customer base and vendors
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s Degree with relevant experience
  • Degree in technical or related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of MAXIMO, TRIRIGA, DataBricks desired
  • Well -versed in AutoCAD
  • Project management skills
  • Effective organizational skills with attention to detail

Work and Travel Requirements

  • Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM EST, Monday through Friday. However, availability extends beyond these times and could include weekend and holidays for system administration, project implementation, system upgrades and resolution management, when required.
  • Candidate to work onsite in Corning, NY, possible hybrid work schedule.

The range for this position is $61,312.00 - $84,304.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
