Purpose of Position: Technology System Project Administrator / Data Analyst to support the WPS Corporate Services Technology Team. This project management role combines project administration with system administration of the software applications our team supports. These systems include but are not limited to IBM systems, Planview, MS applications, along with strong coding and data analysis skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and knowledge and of system administration, data management, and process optimization.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Administration:

  • Manage the implementation of system upgrades, changes, and maintenance.
  • Manage the scope, schedule, and budget for projects
  • Drive projects through every stage of project from planning, implementation, and closeout.
  • Knowledge of SDCL Map is a plus.
  • PMP or Change Management certificate is a plus.

 

2. System Administration

  • Configure user access, security settings, and system parameters.
  • Support routine system upgrades, patches, and enhancements

 

3. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Extract, transform, and load data from MAXIMO databases.
  • Develop and execute SQL queries to retrieve relevant information.
  • Create custom reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Analyze data trends and provide actionable insights.

 

4. Workflow Management:

  • Design, implement, and optimize workflows in MAXIMO.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline business processes.
  • Ensure workflows align with organizational goals.

 

5. Coding and Customization:

  • Write and maintain scripts, automation routines, and customizations.
  • Customize MAXIMO applications to meet specific business needs in collaboration with admin leads and system owners.
  • Collaborate with developers to enhance system functionality.

 

6. User Training and Support:

  • Conduct training sessions for MAXIMO users.
  • Provide ongoing support, addressing user inquiries and technical issues.
  • Foster a positive user experience by ensuring smooth system operation.

 

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Project Management methodology, administration, and implementation.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent computer skills with focus on Microsoft Office suite
  • Preferred PMP or Change Management Certification
  • Understanding of IBM Software Products with a proven track record in understanding complicated workflows and ability to learn new software.
  • Strong coding skills (SQL, scripting languages) for data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with workflow design and optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to learn other platforms quickly and easily.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, multiple tasks, take initiative, and handle urgent requests on short notice.
  • Must be able to professionally handle stressful situations and meet deadlines.

Hours of Work / Travel Requirements

  • Extended workdays, weekends and holidays may be required for go-live activities 3-4 times a year.
  • Candidate will need to be located in Corning, NY or within a 1-2 hour driving distance.
  • Travel not anticipated.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent years of experience. Plus, a Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT Project Administration and data analysis.
  • Or Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering, or related field or equivalent years of experience. Plus, a Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT Project Administration and data analysis.

The range for this position is  $61,970.00   -  $85,210.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
