Purpose of Position: Results-driven position with project management responsibility to plan and execute small to medium scale shows as well as support for internal events. Additionally, provide administrative support for Corning Incorporated’s Tradeshows, Exhibits & Displays (TE&D) department. Position will work with department supervisor and team members, business divisions, internal staff groups and external vendors. Support special projects, as assigned.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute small-to-mid scale tradeshows and exhibits/expos, while adhering to established policies and processes to meet customer requirements.
  • Responsible for overall planning, shipping, on-site execution, budget tracking, and post-show follow up, as well as contingency and risk assessment planning.
  • Construct/assemble tradeshow booths from modular properties for pre-show walkthroughs and once on-site. Ability to supervise others to do so in accordance with local labor laws while on show site if necessary.
  • Support internal events and setups.
  • Be a key contributor for internal projects of varying complexities
  • Utilize CVENT event platform to create, launch and monitor registration tools for assigned events.
  • Support miscellaneous administrative tasks as directed by TE&D team, including customer survey distribution, online tradeshow photo portfolio, maintenance of TE&D BlueLine page and online request form, and monthly and year-end financial reports.
  • Support department expense and capital budget activities, such as processing invoices and setting up new vendors in PeopleSoft.
  • Contribute to department time tracking and metrics program to drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Utilize the Exhibit Force platform for inventory management when utilizing property for show use.
  • Develop professional working relationships with team, customer base and vendors.
  • Leverage department technology platforms (i.e. BOX, SharePoint, CVENT, MSFT Teams, OneDrive), for tradeshow and department assignments.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities.


Required Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills with focus on Microsoft Office suite. Ability to learn PeopleSoft, Cvent and other platforms

Hours of Work / Travel Requirements:

  • Extended work days, weekends and holidays may be required
  • Candidate will need to be located in Corning, NY or within a 1-2 hour driving distance
  • 15% or more travel (domestic)


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Tradeshow or event planning experience preferred
