Purpose of Position

  • Results-driven position with responsibility for the project management to plan and execute Corning Incorporated’s tradeshows.
  • Position will work directly with business divisions, internal staff groups, customers and vendors to support their goals.
  • Special projects, as assigned.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute assigned tradeshows and projects in adherence with established policies and processes to meet customer expectations. Responsible for planning, on-site execution and post-show follow up. Scope includes contingency and risk assessment planning.
  • Responsible for design, engineering and construction of Corning owned and/or new construction display properties to support tradeshows, lobby displays and corporate events.
  • Possess technical ability to read and decipher tradeshow drawings, construct tradeshow booths from modular properties and understand technical requirements of product demonstrations.
  • Partner with customer and technical product specialists to develop and execute products displays and demonstrations.
  • Partner with internal and external vendors, such as Corporate Events, Media Services, Global Security, and external vendors / venues to deliver high-quality tradeshows.
  • Assist with tradeshow project support responsibilities, as assigned.
  • Control tradeshow budgets to deliver value for the company and customers.
  • Develop professional working relationships with customer base and vendors.
  • Work with internal procurement to manage existing suppliers (i.e. exhibit houses, show organizers, show service providers) and negotiate contracts with variety of tradeshow service vendors.
  • Contribute to department time tracking and metrics program to drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist with Cvent platform to create, launch and monitor registration tools for assigned events.
  • Leverage department technology platforms (i.e., BOX, SharePoint) for tradeshow and department assignments.

Hours of Work / Travel

  • Extended work days, weekends and holidays may be required during peak tradeshow season (typically October through June)
  • Travel to 3-8 tradeshows per year averaging 4-10 consecutive days at each


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of tradeshow experience
  • Project management experience
