Role Purpose
The Warehouse Specialist role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including managing packing and shipping logistics, supporting internal events, and responding to customer requests, all with a strong emphasis on exceptional service and operational excellence. This position plays a vital role in ensuring adherence to established processes and safety standards, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.
The Specialist will work closely with the Warehouse Support Coordinator, offering guidance, direction, and support to ensure tasks are completed effectively and in alignment with defined procedures. The role works with the department manager, team members, internal customers, staff groups, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with team members, internal customers, and external vendors to support effective collaboration and communication.
- Assist with packing, shipping, and returns, ensuring adherence to established policies and processes to meet customer requirements.
- Support mock setups for trade shows, including the construction and assembly of modular booth properties as required.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on booth properties to ensure event readiness and extend the lifespan of assets.
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of the warehouse to ensure optimal functionality, safety compliance, and efficiency; provide support for cleaning and upkeep as needed, in coordination with the Warehouse Support Coordinator.
- Provide mentorship and operational guidance to the Warehouse Support Coordinator, ensuring task execution aligns with departmental standards and fostering a cohesive team dynamic.
- Contribute to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives, including participating in audits and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Assist with internal event setups and logistics.
- Respond to customer requests as assigned, delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality service.
- Uphold and promote 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain an efficient and organized workspace.
- Ensure the company van is maintained to operational standards, including scheduling routine servicing, inspections, and repairs, and overseeing cleanliness and safety compliance.
- Participate in internal projects that advance departmental goals and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to time tracking and metrics programs to support process efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
- Utilize the Exhibit Force platform for inventory management and tracking
- Leverage department technology platforms (i.e. SharePoint, MSFT Teams, FORMS, OneDrive) for department assignments
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance operational performance and efficiency.
Experiences/Education - Required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics or shipping.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to prioritize projects, manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
- Professional demeanor under pressure and interact with all levels of leadership
- Customer-focused mindset with a solutions-oriented approach
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to contribute independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Competence in operating basic hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle required
- Forklift certification (or held within the last 3 years)
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
Travel
- Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday; extended hours, weekends, and holidays may be required
- Candidate must be located in the Corning, NY area or within an hour’s driving distance
- Daily work location: Tradeshow facility in Big Flats, NY
- Local travel required, primarily utilizing the company van
- Occasional domestic travel anticipated at less than 15% (potential opportunities to provide onsite support at tradeshows as needed)

The range for this position is $60,410.00 - $83,065.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
