Scope of Position:

  • Process Lead for assigned Business Unit
  • Business / GSM / GLO initiatives
  • Logistics strategy
  • Global TMS Lead for PLG
  • Support business logistics strategy development
  • Logistics development project support
  • Project portfolio management
  • Process / Tool development & improvement
  • Process Lead, collaboration with SMSC, for Logistic Network Optimization (LNO) projects
  • Carrier rate and contract negotiations
  • Risk mitigating & contingency planning
  • Business Dashboards
  • KPI reporting
  • Distribution studies & freight cost analyses
  • Savings tracking & reporting / Contribution Metrics
  • Cross-Region sourcing liaison
  • Outside warehouse support
  • Carrier / Freight Forwarder Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) lead
  • Training & Education
  • Shipping locations

Other Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Supports strategic transportation and warehousing cost management through solutions and the use of data analysis techniques, including spend and network optimization analysis
  • Develops strategic transportation optimization portfolio for assigned projects with participation from business partners
  • Drives transportation and warehousing projects to optimize the logistics networks for assigned projects
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities for assigned business unit transportation suppliers
  • Supports Projects, Global Logistics Organization (GLO), & Global Supply Management (GSM) initiatives
  • Understands the business drivers that affect transportation network usage and identifies opportunities for optimization and cost savings
  • Champions and advocates for the Global Buying Policy. Ensures compliance.

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in logistics or business-related field.
  • Equivalent work experience in logistics related field
