Role Purpose

The Workforce Development Leader, CET NA is responsible for designing, facilitating, and managing ongoing training and skill development methods to both the manufacturing and leadership populations across NA manufacturing. They will deliver assessments and work proactively with manufacturing leadership to understand new training needs to accomplish plant objectives, measures, and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops an understanding of CET manufacturing processes and tasks to effectively support the manufacturing workforce and advance training strategies.
  • Collaborates with various manufacturing functions, such as operations, warehousing, and maintenance, to identify opportunities for hiring, onboarding and retention.
  • Develops and implements training programs that directly impact key performance measures such as productivity, efficiency, and lean principles.
  • Conduct gap assessments and develops a project plan to address identified gaps and determine the specific training needs of the plant.
  • Designs, plans, organizes, and oversees orientation and training programs for employees.
  • Regularly optimizes existing training materials, procedures, etc. through redesign or refresh, while incorporating new methods and industry best practices.
  • Presents information using a diverse range of instructional techniques or formats, including role-playing simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures
  • Develops innovative career broadening solutions for the salaried workforce in an environment with limited transition opportunities.
  • Leverages various assessment methods, such as surveys, employee interviews, focus groups, and consultation with managers, to consistently identify opportunities for growth and development.
  • Engages in effective communication and collaboration with other training leaders on various training initiatives and projects.
  • Ensures timely, thorough, and professional communication with manufacturing leadership and internal customers.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 5 years’ experience in manufacturing with experience in designing and leading training initiatives
  • Comfortable leading teams and influencing across multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional teams.
  • Able to initiate and manage multiple tasks and projects, as necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Microsoft Office, Outlook
  • Good time management & organizational skills

  • Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality and credibility.

  • Experience with team development.
  • Ability to facilitate small group and/or large group training sessions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Tools and Applications (SharePoint, Teams, etc.)

The range for this position is $105,424.00 - $144,958.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
