The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.

HR provides service offerings that align solutions to business challenges by ensuring the programs are Effective, Efficient, Global, Scaleable, and Repeatable.  Corning’s Values are operationalized by the HR Function through the facilitation of Talent Management offerings, as well as programs and processes that aid in making Corning’s Values visible.

Role Purpose

Partner/Work with HR & Admin manager to support HR system, C&B, recruitment,  training , talent development, employee relationship, performance management and other HR general activity. Participant in the HR projects to build a positive working environment to retain talent.

Key Responsibilities

System and C&B:

  • Be responsible for employee data maintenance, monthly payroll data preparation, etc.
  • Be responsible for plant Budget planning & tracking
  • Handling employee in & out procedures in compliance with government regulations
  • Support HR system project for upgrade and modification
  • Support for attendance system maintenance and ensure data accuracy

Recruitment & Training Coordinator:

  • Support COE for hiring process including interview arrangement, interview evaluation collection, onboarding and so on.
  • Support for the process of employee movement
  • Support and maintain training annual plan
  • Organize or coordinate training activity per training plan.
  • Follow up training policy and procedure.
  • Organize orientation activity for newcomer regularly
  • Searching new agency and training course for workshop’s special requirements

Other HR General Activity:

  • Support HRM on plant talent review and planning
  • Support HRM for performance management and talent development
  • Be responsible for Probation & labor contract management
  • Support plant climate or others survey and track the status of action plan
  • Support customer/ISO audits if any
  • Organize various employee activities together with ERG to maintain positive working environment
  • Organize quarterly communication meeting
  • Obey all company EHS rules (Include: Policy, Procedure, SOP and other requirements)
  • Other works assigned by immediate supervisor.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or above and majored in Human Resources is preferred
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience in HR related area
  • Experience in Multi-national company
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Coordination capability
  • Good English and PC skills
  • Has knowledge on China Labor Law, China Labor Contract Law and relevant byelaws and regulations
  • Good skills of data analysis and Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel skills
  • A positive team player, Independent, detail oriented.
  • Logical thinking
  • A quick learner & be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
