The purpose of this position is:
- To provide general support to facility and facility equipment.
This position includes significant duties such as:
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, HVAC, chilled water systems, RO and DI water systems, air compressors, generators, boiler, etc. Operate/Support all HVAC systems and associated equipment, plumbing systems, building management system, generators, air compressors, resin delivery systems, and building repairs.
- Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations.
- Monitor and supervise facility preventive maintenance contracts.
- Respond to emergencies.
- Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.
- Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, BMS system, fire/life.
- Safety such as fire suppression and alarm, and other systems.
- Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
- Maintain records and detailed and accurate reports as required.
- Perform cleaning tasks as requested.
- Perform minor painting and build projects.
- Attend training sessions and seminars.
- Provide training to other Corning employees or contractors on various topics as assigned and maintain all required training as well as any certifications.
- Handles more than one priority at a time and shifts priorities quickly.
- Delivers on established tasks and goals.
- Must be able to work indoors or outdoors.
- Maintains site resin delivery system.
- Works with hand tools and/or power tools while troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance (PM), or repairing equipment.
- Demonstrates safe techniques and proper use of all tools.
- Safety systems relating to working on the equipment such as Lock-Out/Tag-Out, NFPA-70 E Arc Flash, spills, and machine guarding must be followed at all times.
- Completes records / forms recording relevant data onto forms or via electronic data entry in Maximo or other systems.
- Ensures accuracy and good documentation practices per company and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Other assigned tasks as requested.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to industrial machinery, moving parts, electrical and other energy sources.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required including, but not limited to, lab coats, hair/beard covers, gloves, ear protection, eye protection, safety shoes etc.
- Exposure to fumes and chemicals such as cleaners, inks, and solvents.
- Exposure to high frequency noise.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds and up to 65 pounds rarely.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years manufacturing/facilities experience with 2 years of responsibilities for equipment maintenance troubleshooting or equivalent military experience.

The range for this position is $24.50 hourly rate - $28.87 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
