Scope of Position:

Work as part of the Operations Maintenance Department on various projects supporting the manufacturing site. Description of Work: The Intern will work on individual and team projects which can range from new materials, validations, experimentation/problem analysis, equipment drawings, new equipment validations, new product development, etc.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Work will include project and process activities.
  • You will work in a team-based environment and participate as an individual contributor.
  • We are looking for an applicant with a strong level of technical curiosity and who can deliver creative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Work under the direction of an engineer or maintenance to:
    • Become familiar with manufacturing equipment and processes.
    • Develop experimental plans, assist with preparation, data collection and analysis.
    • Support sample collection, measurements/inspections and processing.
    • Support equipment debug and troubleshooting operations.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10%.

 

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

  • Monday – Friday, standard business hours.

 

Required Education:

  • Pending Junior or Senior Engineering major. 
  • Prefer Mechanical or Electrical disciplines
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • At least one semester of core engineering course work completed.

 

Required Skills:

  • Experience with testing database and document control systems.
  • Data and statistical analysis experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.

 

Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:

  • Solidworks proficiency.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes.
  • Technical writing.
  • Ability to deliver technical presentations to operators, engineers and managers.

 

Soft Skills:

  • Effective communication & presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work on diverse project team.
