Role Purpose
Provide support for manufacturing process focused on process stability and equipment reliability. Assist Manufacturing Team Leader with production system management and troubleshooting / understanding of process and equipment issues. Provide reports for technical issues and partners with operations, engineering and maintenance on troubleshooting and escalation. This is an hourly role, with shift rotations (Monday- Thursday 10-hour shift or rotational 12-hour shifts TBD). Overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and train others to technical and operational aspects of the equipment. 1st level subject matter expert
- Responsible for performance on production lines and working with other technicians and operators to preserve stable, line performance
- Identify and resolve equipment issues that may not be in troubleshooting guides or are of a less common occurrence with focus on exceeding production targets
- Assist with training production associates on first-level troubleshooting for common issues
- Provide input into creation of job aids, troubleshooting guides, and PM documents
- Adjust process parameters within established limits to ensure process stability
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections, calibrations and process checks
- Interpret PI Vision charts or machine data to assist with process monitoring and troubleshooting
- Support job changes and production runs
- Interpret engineering schematics and procedures
- Proactively maintain line performance through process tuning and equipment repair/maintenance, as well as support engineer-led activities such as experiments and engineering studies
- Seek out areas of improvement or ideas for continuous improvement projects and implement robust solutions with help from cross functional teams as needed
- Utilize PEx principles, even if not formalized (DMAIC, MEE, PQA, Lean, etc.)
- Support engineer-led process improvement activities from focused improvement portfolios
- Support SAT and installation of new equipment, as needed
- Add information to the shift passdown (eLog) with substantial detail of issues and troubleshooting steps to support production reporting and shift turnover
- Carry out work in a safe manner; wear appropriate PPE and gowning for assigned manufacturing space
- Must be willing to support 24/7 manufacturing site and work on 12-hour shift (able to support all shifts as needed)
Experiences/Education - Required
- 4-year degree in Engineering Technology or related degree AND 3+ years’ experience in technical manufacturing support OR
- 2-year degree in Engineering Technology or related degree AND 5+ years’ experience in technical manufacturing support OR
- Minimum 10+ years technical manufacturing support experience with proven leadership capabilities
- Minimum 3+ years manufacturing troubleshooting experience
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Proven ability to learn new technology and processes quickly
- Dependable, highly motivated self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to lead and train others
- Knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance systems
- Strong communication skills
- Technical expertise in any of the following areas: glass forming, machining, electrical, robotics and/or automation
- Flexible and adaptable; willing to work outside of role to move the team forward
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to collaborate across organizational boundaries and integrate solution
- MS Office; particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel

US Salaried:
The range for this position is $57,899.00 - $79,612.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
