Scope of Position: This role involves the planning, scheduling, and the overall monitoring of material movement through the production cycle. Point of contact for managing movement of good within the warehouse.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to identified warehouse associates and planning / inventory site personnel
  • Ensures all training requirements for self and team are maintained. Communicates and addresses development needs of Shipping/Receiving Associates
  • Prepares records of merchandise shipped.
  • Responsible for the physical task of shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
  • Implements standard procedures and proposes modifications to improve workflow and assist in maintaining high Customer service levels
  • Recognizes when process is deviating from acceptable standards and can implement routine solutions to ensure return to standards
  • Assist the facility to deliver AGM% goals for the year
  • Responsible for providing written and verbal status reports for area performance including tracking and reporting monthly inbound/outbound metrics
  • Ensure safe work practices are strictly adhered to – assist with incidents / investigations if they occur
  • Maintain a superior level of materials control and Cycle Count accuracy of Raw Materials and Finished Goods
  • Arrange inbound and outbound shipment of goods as needed by communicating with carriers and/or Logistics company.
  • Train and meet requirements for chemical movement and storage for incoming chemicals of interest under CFATS program
  • Assist with other warehouse needs as required
  • Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
  • Non-exempt position working approximately 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm), with flexibility to support project assignments and off shifts.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years’ experience in warehouse/logistics environment
  • 3+ years’ experience with inventory control
  • Associates degree in supply chain related discipline preferred

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ERP systems

Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:

  • PeopleSoft ERP system
  • Knowledge of Purchase Order Receipts
  • Forklift/PIT experience
  • Experience with Freight Forwarder / Export affairs
  • Ability to influence and logical thinking
  • Comfortable working with cross functional teams
