Scope of Position:

This position is responsible for managing the recurring business of Precision Optics products between Corning and a key customer account.  This position will be ideally located in the Fairport/Rochester, NY area. 


Qualifications, Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.   Engineering, Optics or related technical degree preferred.  MBA desired

• 5+ years of experience in a variety of functional groups

• 2+ years in customer facing role required.   International business experience preferred

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams (operations, engineering, development, commercial)

• Prior knowledge of optics, opto-mechanical systems and/or semiconductor process control equipment desired

• Effective communicator up to and including executive level both internally and externally

• Manage business relationships using combination of data driven analysis, strategic thinking, networking and strong interpersonal skills


Major Responsibilities/Ongoing Tasks:

• Lead customer relationships and represent Corning within customer organization in all aspects   

  of the recurring business and ongoing production.

• Frequent contact with the customer to identify, build and strengthen the relationship, meet

  customer’s needs, and maximize growth of recurring business.

• Consistent assessment of customer demand vs Corning’s supply plan; identify gaps and work with

   operations to minimize

• Manage customer interactions in all commercial, operational, and technical aspects

   supporting existing products.

• Work with customer’s factories and engineering teams to gain acceptance for the

   implementation of process improvements and use of new equipment.

The range for this position is $92,457.00 - $127,129.00.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
