Role Purpose
The purpose of this position is to support the product line through close coordination between customer(s), engineering, operations, sales, and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop deep understanding of products, including critical product specifications, manufacturing processes, and customer integration and use cases.
- Develop the strategy and execute on the 4Ps (product, price, placement and promotion) for the respective product line
- Provide support and leads product line accounts during product development and operational escalations.
- Articulate product attributes, specifications, basis of competition, product trajectory to ensure advantaged products. Requires leading efforts to synthesize and assess competitive technologies or offerings
- Work actively with internal operations, engineering, and development groups to represent customer viewpoint and identify win-win strategies in support of cost reduction, lead time reduction, and performance improvements.
- Share knowledge and best practices with adjacent product lines to help optimize performance of overall organization.
- Work with functional leads resolving product issues including ramp/volume needs, performance deficiencies, and overall quality and delivery performance
- Works with Sales to execute a pricing strategy by setting floor pricing as needed, influencing pricing structure, optimizing product premiums, and ensuring value and profitability for product line.
- Provide guidance on monthly forecasting and monitor performance to revenue & profitability plan
- Provide coordination and leadership for identified precision optics products across all functions: commercial, manufacturing, development & engineering and supply chain
- Key activities include capacity management, sales and operations planning and demand management.
- Optimizes inventory management in conjunction with Supply Chain and finance related to the product line by coordinating information flow, as needed, between Forecasting, Sales, Manufacturing, and other parties as needed.
- Leads, contributes and participates in product line and local manufacturing S&OP discussions
- May get involved in supply chain disruption issues to influence or make decisions on global order and Development/Manufacturing prioritization.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or in an Engineering or Technical field (Optical Engineering or Physics) with 3-5 years of experience or Master's degree with 0-2 years of experience
- Experience in a customer-facing role or function
Desired Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent
- Semiconductor or Optics experience
- Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Experience managing people and/or leading cross-functional teams
- Work experience in either of the following areas: Sales (account management, application engineering), Manufacturing and/or Development
- Financial analysis and acumen
- Work experience in a strategy group

The range for this position is $97,472.00 - $134,024.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
