Position Summary 

This role applies Industrial Engineering, Lean, and data analysis to improve product and information flow, increase capacity, reduce complexity, and strengthen visual management. The position combines hands-on manufacturing improvement with data driven reporting and KPI visibility to support operational performance. The successful candidate will help strengthen plant visual management and data-based daily management systems. Working closely with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams, this individual will identify opportunities, analyze performance, implement improvements, and develop reporting that enables action. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who wants to build capability in Industrial Engineering, Lean, and operational analytics within a manufacturing environment.

 

Responsibilities 

• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and visual reporting tools to support operational reviews and decision-making 

• Use Power BI or similar business intelligence tools to create clear, sustainable reporting and visual management solutions

• Lead and/or support projects to improve manufacturing flow, layout, labor productivity, lead time, and capacity

• Analyze data to identify trends, losses, constraints, and opportunities for improvement across operations

• Support KPI definition, metric standardization, and reporting accuracy across plant processes

• Apply Industrial Engineering methods such as capacity analysis, line balance, workflow evaluation, labor analysis, and layout concepts

• Support Lean improvement efforts including kaizen events, value stream mapping, flow and pull implementation, workplace organization, and standard work • Communicate project status, analysis, and recommendations clearly through graphic, written, and oral methods

• Take ownership for the accuracy and quality of work performed and follow assignments through to completion

 

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or other Engineering / Technical field of study

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, process improvement, or related environment

• Foundational knowledge of Industrial Engineering and Lean manufacturing concepts, including capacity and workflow analysis, process and waste reduction, flow and pull, standard work, layout, and visual management

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience using data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, JMP, Minitab, or similar; Power BI experience preferred

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a variety of stakeholders • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team

 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting/dashboard tools

• Exposure to manufacturing systems and data sources such as MES, SAP, ERP, SSRS, or similar

• Experience with operational KPI reporting, visual management, or scorecards

• Experience with Lean, kaizen, or continuous improvement activities

• Knowledge of inventory, planning, scheduling, or supply chain processes

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to translate data into actionable operational insights

• Ability to work effectively across functions

• Initiative, adaptability, and professionalism

• Collaborative approach with shop floor and leadership teams

• Technical curiosity related to software tools such as Power BI, Python, or similar technologies

 

Hours of Work

Typically Monday through Friday, with flexibility to support operational needs, meetings, and occasional off-hours as required.

The range for this position is $86,197.00 - $118,521.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
