Role Purpose
The Logistics Optimization Lead supports the Logistics Supervisor by coordinating and providing front-line oversight of daily activities within Receiving and Stockroom areas. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient receipt, transfer, storage, distribution, and inventory accuracy of materials throughout the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient receipt, transfer, storage, distribution, and inventory accuracy of materials throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide front-line supervision of all activities related to receiving transfers and inventory accuracy within Receiving and Stockroom areas.
- Assign personnel to offload all incoming material in a timely manner and ensure proper routing within the facility.
- Coordinate the distribution of MRO items to customers throughout the facility in an expedient and efficient manner.
- Ensure raw material components are picked and delivered to Manufacturing areas without causing production interruptions.
- Maintain accurate inventory by supporting and monitoring the cycle count program to meet departmental goals.
- Perform area inspections and audits as required to ensure housekeeping standards are maintained and safety violations are eliminated.
- Oversee compliance with established procedures, policies, and work instructions.
- Administer and execute policies and procedures that affect assigned employees and daily operations.
- Direct daily activities and assess employee performance to ensure efficient operations and achieve department goals.
- Meet operational goals within established criteria for time, cost, and quality.
- Interact with employees, peers, and leadership to ensure continuity of operations and effective communication across functions.
- Maintain confidentiality of information and materials as required.
- Lead small- to medium-sized projects focused on improving operational efficiency, material flow, and inventory accuracy.
- Provide feedback, coaching, and day-to-day support to employees to encourage performance, accountability, and adherence to process.

Working conditions
- Travel: Negligible
- Onsite expectation: Based in Fairport, NY.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience working in supply chain, shipping & receiving, stockroom, inventory control, or material movement processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory accuracy and cycle count practices.
- Working knowledge of safety, housekeeping, and compliance requirements in warehouse/logistics operations.
- Previous experience with ERP systems such as SAP or EWM.
- Physical ability to walk, lift 25 lbs., and stand for extended periods.

- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead front-line personnel and support operational improvements.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and escalate as needed.

The range for this position is $75,761.00 - $104,172.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
