Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Provide daily production support to Assembly and Test to resolve process upsets.

• Identify and lead process improvements to reduce cost, increase capacity, and extend capability (variability, cycle-time, complexity, and scrap reduction)

• Lead new product introductions into the production system.

• Author documentation and provide training to operations associates.

• Collaborate with the commercial team to quote new products.

• Collaborate with the quality team to respond to customer complaints and returns.

 

 Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Optical or Manufacturing Engineering.

• 5+ years of experience, preferably within Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering or Process Engineering

 

Desired Skills:

• Must be able to effectively work with production groups and division engineering.

• Mechanical, Optical, or Industrial Engineering training.

• Previous experience in technical manufacturing and process support.

• Hands-on

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Function as part of a team

• Ability to learn and grow

• Prioritize and multi-task

• Performance excellence training and project leadership a plus - Green Belt, Lean, or PQA experience.

 

Travel Requirements:

• < 5%. Typical travel includes special training/networking opportunities and potential customer and vendor visits.

 

Hours of work:

 • M-F, 8am-5pm. Evening and weekend support as needed.
