Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Key Responsibilities
· Being the contact person for the production, product quality problems and supplier quality for Quality Department
· Tracking and reporting Quality Performance (QI) of plant, analysis of the issues and taking necessary steps for problem solving and continuous improvement
· Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes, developing & maintaining Product Quality Control Plans
· Leading Supplier Quality activities, including developing & maintaining Supplier Quality Control Plans, managing nonconformities, performing audits when necessary, supporting Laboratory for material testing & control methods, tracking Quality Performance of Suppliers
· Tracking and reporting CoQ (Cost of Quality), making sure targets are met and taking necessary steps towards improvement
· Leading/supporting FMEA studies and implementing improvement actions for Quality Department operations
· Leading/supporting SPC, MSA, Data Management, Data Visualization Projects
· Leading/supporting Product Quality Architecture sustainability studies
· Supporting Quality Leader for team management, assessing employee effectiveness, issues on QC locations, HSE risk analysis studies
· Making sure all documentation is up-to-date and employees trained on areas of responsibility
· Leading the iKaizen (Employee Suggestions) projects of QC & Incoming Inspection Team
· Leading/supporting problem solving activities and PEx (Performance Excellence) projects for continuous improvement
· Ensuring alignment to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations
Experiences/Education - Required
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a min. of 4 years of experience
· Very good command of English is a must, both written and spoken
· Experience of Team Management is a plus
· Strong communication skills
· Team player in an international and dynamic working environment
· No travel restrictions
· Technical Skills;
- Experience in Production and Supplier Quality Control Plan development & establishing criteria
- MS Office experience/proficiency is a must, SAP & PowerBI experience is a plus
- Strong problem solving & analytical thinking skills, experience in problem solving methods is a must
- Experience of Project Management, Six Sigma/DMAIC, SPC, FMEA, Data Analysis, MSA is a plus
- Experience of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 or 27001 & Auditing is a plus
