Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Purpose:
Maximize sales of Corning Optical Communications (COC) products to Enterprise customers within the states of Georgia and Alabama in a team environment. Work across the supply chain with end users, consultants, contractors and distribution representatives to position COC fiber optic solutions and execute a territory sales plan.
Required Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Sales and/or Marketing experience in territory preferred
• Knowledge of fiber optic products and solutions desired
• Competence to target and prioritize key customers, proven success in time/territory management
• Internally motivated and results oriented with autonomy to work from home office effectively
Key Responsibilities:
• Meet or exceed sales budget for all fiber optic products
• Through regular sales calls, generate preference for Corning Optical Communications’ products over that of competitors
• Ensure a balanced mix of sales call to end users, contractors, distributors, and consultants
• Manage NPI contractor program and Consultant EAP Program in territory
• Coordinate joint sales calls with distributor representatives to maximize sales penetration
• Provide ongoing training to distributors to assist in effectively selling Corning Optical Communications' products
• Provide timely documentation of meetings and maintain a project pipeline in Salesforce.com
• Operate within assigned expense and promotional item budgets
• Maintain proficiency in the use of the personal computer through Salesforce.com, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Work effectively in a team environment with minimum supervision
Other Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license, travel within the states of Georgia & Alabama
• Must be based in territory, preferably in the Atlanta area
This position does not support immigration.
The range for this position is $69,782.00 - $95,951.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
