The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.
HR provides service offerings that align solutions to business challenges by ensuring the programs are Effective, Efficient, Global, Scaleable, and Repeatable. Corning’s Values are operationalized by the HR Function through the facilitation of Talent Management offerings, as well as programs and processes that aid in making Corning’s Values visible.
Role Purpose
This role ensures that the client group has the optimal talent—both in number and capability—to effectively execute divisional strategies and achieve targeted business outcomes. It is responsible for driving employee productivity and performance excellence, fostering a positive work environment aligned with Corning Values, and promoting a unified "One Corning" culture. The position supports the achievement of budgetary goals to enable top-quartile performance while maintaining high standards of HR service delivery. It proactively adapts HR services to meet the evolving needs of the division and business portfolio in alignment with strategic objectives. Additionally, this role ensures successful implementation of global HR processes within the client group.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identifies and prioritizes current and future talent needs within the client group to ensure alignment with operational objectives.
- Collaborate with the Division HR Manager/Director and business leaders to develop and implement an attractive employee value proposition, enabling effective attraction and retention of key talent.
- Partners with the Division HR Manager/Director to address talent gaps, ensuring optimal placement of personnel in support of strategic goals.
- Works closely with client groups to design and execute targeted development plans at both team and individual levels, addressing skill gaps promptly.
- Effectively implements performance management systems and reward practices that drive accountability for results while supporting retention of top performers.
- Holds managers accountable for fostering a positive work environment consistent with organizational values.
- In partnership with the Division HR Manager/Director, defines human capital priorities for the next one to two years, determining necessary HR support levels required for success.
- Deploys the HR shared service delivery model effectively in pursuit of transformational goals while maintaining high standards of client support.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Labor Relations, or equivalent.
- 5–8 years’ experience in HR (generalist or specialist).
- Supervisory experience required.
- Proven ability to implement organizational processes for business success.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
HR Expertise
- Tailor HR services and processes to meet business needs.
- Deep understanding of HR processes (e.g., workforce planning, compensation).
- Apply change management principles to drive initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Collaborate with COEs to align strategies and optimize initiatives.
- Regularly assess satisfaction and adapt services based on feedback.
- Efficiently resolve issues while ensuring accountability.
- Define project scope, budget, and deliverables collaboratively.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses to support decisions.
- Manage resources and secure expertise throughout project cycles.
- Tailor HR solutions based on industry trends and divisional goals.
- Navigate global/local systems for effective HR delivery.

The range for this position is $124,078.00 - $170,608.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
