Role Summary

The Process Engineer II – Wet Processes is responsible for sustaining and improving wet manufacturing processes at the Phoenix site, including plating operations, aqueous cleaning and wash processes, and associated measurement and control methods. This role focuses on production stability, chemical process control, quality performance, and continuous improvement for wet process areas, supporting both daily manufacturing execution and longer-term capability development.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and sustain wet process operations including plating, rinsing, and wash processes, ensuring stable, capable, and well-controlled performance.
• Provide daily engineering support to wet process production areas, including troubleshooting process upsets, yield losses, and equipment issues.
• Lead and support root cause analysis (RCCA), MRB, and DMR activities related to plating defects, surface conditions, and chemical process variation.
• Develop, implement, and validate process controls for bath chemistry, solution maintenance, and wash effectiveness.
• Partner with Quality to define and sustain associated measurements, inspections, and acceptance criteria tied to wet processes.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities to reduce scrap, rework, cycle time, and chemical variability.
• Support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements related to chemical handling and wet process operations.
• Maintain process documentation including work instructions, control plans, chemical specifications, and standard work.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience supporting wet manufacturing processes in a production environment.
• Working knowledge of aqueous chemistry, plating processes, and solution control principles.
• Experience with structured problem solving, RCCA, and data-driven process control.
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with electroplating or surface treatment processes.
• Familiarity with chemical analysis, bath monitoring, and process measurement 
techniques.
• Experience in high-precision or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of SPC or statistical methods applied to chemical and wet processes.

The range for this position is $84,932.00 - $116,782.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
