Role Purpose

The SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) Leader will head the SAP Center of Excellence to drive SAP S/4HANA adoption, optimization, and continuous improvement across AMPS business and manufacturing operations. This role ensures best-in-class business processes, governance for ITIL-like demand management, and alignment with strategic objectives. The CoE Leader will bridge technology and business needs, lead a high-performing team, and enable digital transformation for operational excellence and scalability.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Leadership: Define SAP CoE vision and roadmap; act as primary SAP S/4HANA advisor to senior leaders.
  • Process Optimization: Improve end-to-end processes (procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, plan-to-produce, record-to-report) using SAP capabilities.
  • SAP Expertise: Guide implementation and optimization of SAP S/4HANA modules (FI/CO, PP, MM, SD, EWM); ensure integration with enterprise systems.
  • Demand Management: Implement ITIL-like governance for prioritizing SAP-related business demands.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor CoE team; foster collaboration and accountability.
  • Change Management: Drive adoption of SAP solutions and continuous learning.
  • Performance Monitoring: Define KPIs, report progress, and manage risks for SAP initiatives.
  • Digital Transformation Leadership: Drive initiatives that leverage SAP and emerging technologies to enable Industry 4.0 capabilities and smart manufacturing.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for SAP utilization and business process excellence.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:  Serve as the trusted advisor to executive leadership on SAP strategy and business process alignment.
  • Risk & Compliance Oversight: Ensure SAP solutions meet regulatory, cybersecurity, and internal compliance standards.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Manage relationships with SAP and external service providers to optimize delivery and support.

 

 

Required Experience

  • 10+ years implementing/managing SAP solutions; 5+ years in leadership within manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Proven success in SAP S/4HANA adoption and business process optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with key SAP modules: FI/CO, PP, MM, SD, EWM.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL or similar demand management frameworks.
  • Experience managing complex SAP implementations and organizational change.

 

Desired Experience

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing processes, such as discrete or process manufacturing, with a focus on supply chain optimization and production planning. 
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori, Analytics Cloud, Ariba, Leonardo.
  • Understanding of Industry 4.0 principles and their application in manufacturing.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

The range for this position is $105,464.00 - $145,013.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
