Scope of Position
- Provides leadership and oversight of machinists, ensuring components are produced in accordance with blueprint specifications and quality standards. Assigns tasks, makes data driven decisions and checks employees’ work at frequent intervals.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
- Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages the second shift activities of multiple departments while developing positive working relationships and employee relations aligned with corporate and business values. Responsible for monitoring and improving performance metrics for multiple machine centers.
- Drive department strategies based on plant objectives and provide guidance and direction for the successful implementation of those plans through regular department and plant meetings, machine cell huddles and 1:1 coaching
- Works within department and other functional groups on resolution of quality, performance, or downtime issues in a timely fashion.
- Participates or leads cost reduction projects to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
- Provides training to employees as needed on new processes, procedures, or equipment.
- Maintain and implement all required safety regulations and housekeeping standards on a consistent basis.
- Assists and/or leads in the performance of investigations and resolutions of manufacturing issues that affect product or process performance.
- Support the ISO 9000 and AS9100 standards.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field is preferred, however other education or commiserate experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- We are seeking a minimum of 2 years quality, engineering, or operations experience within a manufacturing environment.
- At least 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
- Record of success and leadership accomplishment.
- Performance Excellence experience, preferably Green Belt certified (DMAIC, 6-Sigma, Lean).
- Data analysis skills to chart and interpret data to make decisions / understand relationships.
- Excellent people and communication (oral and written) skills and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse employee group across many levels of management.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office tools, electronic document management and ERP systems.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Supervision and working knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, and production workflows.

- Proven ability to collaborate with individuals from various cultural backgrounds, regions, and levels in the organization.
- Performance Excellence (Six Sigma) Green Belt or Black Belt.
- Knowledge of SAP ERP system.

The range for this position is $80,750.00 - $111,031.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
