Position Description Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group): Manage the flow of material within both the production line and at contract manufacturers to make sure that delivery commitments are met


Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate supply and demand to determine material and capacity requirements to meet customer orders.
  • Develop tactical production schedules to execute against order commitments
  • Create and manage production capacity models
  • Create and manage production scheduling models
  • Create and manage inventory managements models to optimize cost and lead time
  • Create and manage risk mitigation models
  • Coordinate activities with internal and external resources to achieve delivery objectives with speed, agility, and low cost
  • Evaluate inventory stocking plans relative to actual inventory/service levels and work with strategic planner to adjust inventory stocking plans as needed
  • Advise product team on critical considerations related to material and production planning
  • Monitor material movement within the production line against predefine goals and lead activities to eliminate obstacles
  • Generate mitigation plan to address unexpected delays and line down situations
  • Provide daily reporting of material and production status against schedule and goals
  • Collaborate with cross functional groups on activities intended to improve manufacturing yield and cycle time
  • Develop an exhaustive understanding of various processes, their cycle time and capacity
  • Identify supply chain and manufacturing deficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate on optimization of production orders, backlog, works in progress (WIP) and lots starts to maximize throughput and process constrains.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering to ensure inventories are kept at optimum levels. • Be site expert in the use of the MRP module in SAP
  • Manage individual customer demand versus material allocation
  • Manage the logistics aspects of fabrication, such as new order receipt, schedule starts and shipment.
  • Expedite urgent lots through the line by collaborating with cross functional teams
  • Manage material production at contract manufacturers, shipment and receiving
  • Provide continuous inputs on how to improve processes Multitasks as needed to support production


Working Conditions:

  • Work for extended periods of time inside a clean room where safety glasses, cleanroom attire, and booties are required.
  • Ability to work in front of a computer for extended period
  • Ability to efficiently work in very a dynamic environment
  • Ability to stand for an extended period
  • Ability to work autonomously with little supervision
  • Ability to multitask and cooperate with a rapid changing environment


Travel Requirements (please note if international): • Less 10% domestic travel might be required


Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40 hours


Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration) Technical Bachelor degree or higher and a minimum of 1-5 years work experience in Production Control, Strategic planning or Supply Chain role corporation.

  • Manufacturing plant experience in a high-volume environment
