PURPOSE STATEMENT:
This position contributes to the data management, strategy and related process and system improvements within the Freight Audit & Payment program of the Global Logistics Organization. The role involves identifying trends in freight payment data to determine areas of opportunity and collaboration with internal and external teams to drive process improvement. The individual will also support the programs to develop, operate and enhance Corning’s global logistics digitalization strategies.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Support Freight Bill Audit and Payment program in North America and work with the transportation sourcing teams to analyze freight spend data and optimize reporting
o Manage data correction and maintenance of freight payment data for the Global Logistics spend visibility platform(s), transportation management system, spend anomalies application, freight audit and payment solutions, and/or other digital tools
o Measure freight invoice data quality, define and implement performance improvement activities with internal and external partners
o Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to manage key performance indicators
o Maintain the global logistics spend report and develop standardized reports on logistics spend, volume and service
o Manage validation table updates to align with all GLO systems
o Support key initiatives of Global Logistics Organization (GLO), Global Supply Management (GSM) and business supply chain initiatives
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree. Major in Business, Logistics Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management. An MBA is an advantage.
Required Skills
Proven record of minimum 3 years experience in data mining, analysis, reporting. A background in logistics industry and/or accounting is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and data visualization tools (PowerBI/Flows/SharePoint) is required.
Resourceful and capable of working with large datasets to drive key actionable insights.
Result-oriented with excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving & communication skills.
Collaborative skills for working with global stakeholders and across functions.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
