Purpose of the Position:
- The role is responsible for managing end‑to‑end Accounts Payable (AP) and Fixed Assets (FA) accounting processes, ensuring compliance with India statutory requirements, corporate policies, and audit standards (SOX/FCPA). The individual will support invoice processing, vendor management, asset accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
The role requires strong coordination with internal stakeholders, vendors, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
Complexity of Role:
- Support 1 OU’s – Fixed asset Manufacturing unit and Accounts payable domain
- India Taxation & Statutory Compliances – TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), GST (Goods & Service Tax), MSME (Micro Small & Medium Enterprises), FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act).
- Multiple Finance / Compliance process – AP, Fixed Assets, GL / Month End Closing, Statutory Audit, Internal Control.
- Volume of Invoices – Support – 1250 to 1500 per month
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process vendor invoices (PO & Non-PO) with proper validation and approvals
- Ensure accurate accounting in ERP (PeopleSoft / SAP)
- Handle vendor queries, payment issues, and inbox management
- Maintain MSME compliance tracker and reporting (India requirement)
- Perform vendor account reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies
- Manage employee expenses, advances, and Prepaid
- Execute payment processing (Domestic / Import / Tax / Intercompany)
- Ensure TDS/WHT calculation and statutory compliance
- Monitor and report AP aging and overdue items for action
- Support open receipts review, reconciliation, and closure
- Fixed Assets (FA)
- Manage fixed asset additions, transfers, and disposals in system
- Maintain and update Fixed Asset Register (FAR) for India
- Perform capitalization of assets and CWIP tracking
- Ensure asset tagging, physical verification, and reconciliation
- Process depreciation and FA related journal entries
- Reconcile FA sub-ledger to General Ledger (GL) on monthly basis
- Handle asset disposal, write-offs, and impairment
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for asset lifecycle
- Support IT asset tracking, reconciliation, and compliance activities
- Month-End Close & Reporting
- Perform journal entries (provisions, accruals, reclassifications)
- Handle BlackLine reconciliations and task certifications
- Prepare Balance Sheet schedules and account reconciliations
- Support financial reporting as per I-GAAP / corporate requirements
- Review and analyze AP & FA balances with variance explanation
- Compliance & Audit
- Ensure adherence to SOX, FCPA, and internal control requirements
- Support statutory, internal, and tax audits (India-specific)
- Maintain documentation and supporting schedules for audit queries
- Ensure GST, TDS, MSME compliance and timely reporting
- Process Improvement & Stakeholder Management
- Identify and drive process improvements and automation opportunities
- Collaborate with procurement, treasury, IT, and business teams
- Ensure timely communication with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement initiatives

Education & Experience |
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounts & Finance Equivalent (8- 10 years), M.COM / MBA Finance / CA / CWA Inter (6 - 8 years) of relevant experience.
- Experience from Manufacturing plant is must.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Accounting Standards.
- Experience with general ledger functions.
- Exposure to automation / reporting tools (Power BI, AI tools)
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Expert in Office tool like MS excel (VLOOKUP’s and Pivot tables), MS word and PPT.
- Hands-on experience of People Soft. Experience in SAP and BI tools will be added advantage.
- Shared Services experience will be a plus.
