The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success. Scope of position:
The Supply Chain Analytics group is Global Supply Management (GSM) center of excellence for data and analytics. By combining supply chain domain expertise with deep analytical skills and advanced tools, we generate actionable insights that empower businesses to make strategic, impactful decisions.
Position Responsibilities:
- Understand business requirements in BI context and translate business processes and requirements into technical requirements.
- Execute data analytics initiatives that lead to the development of insightful analyses, driving business performance improvements and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Analyze complex datasets and design robust data models to build intuitive dashboards and applications using Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate and other Corning IT tools, tailored to meet specific business requirements.
- Optimize existing analytics solutions such as BI dashboards by developing new solutions and implementing enhancements to improve performance and functionality.
- Maintain meticulous oversight of data including data quality inspection, cleansing and automation to ensure the continuous reflection of the most current and accurate information in our analytics.
- Proactively address and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the analytics provided, upholding the integrity and reliability of the data and insights delivered.
- Collaborate with various Global Supply Management teams such as Data Management Office to establish project plans to deliver data and analytics to meet business goals.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies in data analytics such as Machine Learning to continuously improve the tools and methodologies used within the team.
Required Skills {these are skills that candidate MUST possess}
- A Bachelor degree in Data Science, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4-6 Years professional experience, preferably in a data analyst/data scientist role or similar, with proven results in a data analyst role.
- Extensive hands-on design and development of Power BI dashboards, Power Automate flows and Power Apps.
- Mastery of Power Query M and extensive practical experience in writing complex DAX queries
- Extensive experience with Dataset design, Data Cleansing and Data Aggregation.
- Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks and workflows.
- Working knowledge of API and REST Endpoints.
- Proficiency in Database & data lake methodology.
- Experience in supply chain management along with procurement & spend analytics.
- Global working experience with cross-cultural team and adapt to diverse business practices.
- Languages: SQL, DAX, Python, Power Shell, M Query.
- Software/Applications: Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Alteryx, SAP Ariba, Microsoft 365 applications.
