Purpose of Position:


Plan, develop and implement marketing and communication strategy and corresponding tactics for India that are in line with the marketing and talent strategies of the individual Corning business units that have a presence in the region as well as overall corporate objectives.


Major Responsibilities:


• Develops and execute India communications strategy that uses appropriate messages, methods, and medium to create a clear understanding of regional offerings for targeted customers within the marketplace


• Supports the overall business growth through external and internal communications, media relations, issues management, social media programs, third-party partnerships, manager of extern vendors / PR agencies and digital communications activities.


• Focus on enhancing the reputation and integrity of the Corning brand to support revenue growth and position the company as an employer of choice in India. As a strategic marketing function, this position will support overall   business units in Corning India.

     - Conceiving and develop efficient and intuitive marketing communications strategies - Execution of marketing communications in-line with the business and talent strategy

     - Develop and deliver brand marketing strategy, annual marketing plan, key product positioning and messaging

     - Develop and maintain internal and external contacts to ensure effective integration of marketing communications into product line and marketing management to continually test the validity of marketing recommendations   

     - Develop and execute digital media and promotional campaigns to drive awareness, create an emotional connect and educate on key actions, which will drive traffic to the website

     - Identify partners to co-create content and events like podcasts, webinars, marketing outreach activities, exhibitions etc.

     - Support the sales force on marketing materials – both printed and digital - Support human resources on internal and external employer branding initiatives

     - Benchmark and measure the effectiveness of “selling messages” marketing communications projects and programs

     - Manage marketing communication budgets


• Creation and management of regional communications collateral including speeches, presentations, scripts, and for Web.


Qualification -


  • MBA
  • 12+ years of experience in marketing and communications 
  • Good understanding of brand and digital marketing 
  • Passionate storyteller who can persuade, inspire, and create emotional connections with target audiences as needed to drive behaviors 
  • Good understanding of the market and related business verticals of life science, automotive and optical is preferred 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Reasonable understanding of Google Analytics or equivalent execution experience
  • Social media advertisement experience 
  • HubSpot inbound certification or/and working with Salesforce is plus, along with designing software like Adobe Photoshop or equivalent 
  • Outstanding and clear intercommunication skills
  • Proactive, positive & innovative mindset
