Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

For our location in Hagen (NRW), Germany, we are looking for a 

 

Quality Engineer (m/f/d)

 

Responsibilities

  • Management and further development of SAP test planning

  • Coordination of requalification audits

  • Continuous maintenance and improvement of internal processes and the associated document management 

  • Leadership and support of cross-departmental projects

  • Supporting compliance with the EMEA management system certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001, 14001, 45001

  • Management systems for the Hagen site

  • Implementation and further development of the zero defect strategy as part of cross-plant cooperation with the Engineering and Production departments

  • Coordinating and improving problem-solving techniques to implement corrective and preventive measures in collaboration with all areas

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with previous technical training or completed training as a certified technician (for example as Kunststofftechnologe or Verfahrensmechaniker)
  • At least 1 year practical experience in the field of quality management 
  • Very good language skills in German and English (oral and written)
  • Ideally certification as a quality management representative according to DIN EN ISO 9001
  • Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Initial experience in project management
  • The ability to analyze and eliminate technical problems
  • Good communication, ability to work in a team, willingness to learn, commitment and absolute reliability
  • Ability to work independently and with structured working methods
