Scope of Position:
Rebuild, production support, continuous improvement, and cost reduction projects as well as first generation projects for the Harrodsburg Plant. Projects will involve software and/or electrical power solutions.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical & controls support for the BOD (Bottom of the Draw) and mixing production processes.
- Partner with the Research and Development, Application Development and Product Engineering organizations to understand the application requirements and determine needs for future systems.
- Develop fundamental understanding of critical process and technical requirements, identify areas of technical risk in assigned projects, conduct prototype / feasibility testing to verify concept, and define and document system design specifications.
- Actively participate in all phases of the project including design, fabrication, off-line integration and testing, installation, production start-up support, training of plant personnel, and technology transfer.
- Interface with external system integrators and machine builders to successfully deliver fully integrated process equipment systems.
Required Education/Experience :
- BSEE, BSEET (minimum of 3.0 GPA)
- Ability to troubleshoot difficult process problems and determine root cause through process experimentation and data analysis.
- This is a functional position that requires strong technical curiosity and the desire to learn.
- Rigor and detail oriented in controls/software design, development, testing and documentation.
- Strong team player who takes personal ownership for their areas of responsibility.
Desired Skills:
- PLC, HMI, Motion, and Industrial Robot – Programming and configuration knowledge/interest
- Controls/Electrical Experience in Manufacturing
- Broad skill set (first principal design to implementation/installation)
- Working knowledge of 480V and below 3 phase power systems including familiarization with National Codes (NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, etc)
- Knowledgeable of electrical design and familiarization of machine standards (IEC, ANSI, RIA R15.06, etc.)

The range for this position is $68,419.00 - $94,077.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
