Scope of Position:

Strengthen the Product Quality Systems and Architecture within the organization by driving fundamental understanding and continual improvements that positively influence the Quality Management System.

Responsibilities:

• Integrate customer specifications into manufacturing processes and monitor product attributes to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Serve as the Quality Representative on new product and equipment teams, ensuring new products and processes meet quality requirements and updating plant quality systems as needed.
• Represent the plant on division quality teams for new product launches and existing quality system audits.
• Lead root-cause analysis for products or processes that do not meet requirements, partnering with supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering to implement sustainable, compliant solutions aligned with quality systems and customer agreements.
• Support quality system improvements, including product disposition tools and inventory management processes.
• Partner with IT and Controls to develop accessible, integrated data related to product measurements.
• Assess the impact of product, process, and equipment changes on product attributes, quality architecture, and process capability.
• Analyze data to establish, implement, and measure internal attribute targets and improvement plans.
• Understand and address internal and external customer needs by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and continuously improving plant quality systems.
• Travel Requirements: Minimal travel expected (10% or less).
• Work Schedule: Typically Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Flexibility for off-shift and weekend production support may be required, along with occasional after-hours phone conferences.

Required Education and Experience/Skills:

• Bachelors in a Technical field (Engineering preferred)
• Minimum of 6 years in manufacturing/process experience; quality experience preferred
• Knowledge of product specifications, measurement systems, quality requirements, and statistical methodologies, including SPC.
• Self-directed technical leader with strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, prioritization, and independent decision-making skills.
• Ability to develop quality systems, assess product-quality risks, lead engineering solutions, and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Experience designing and analyzing experiments using data analysis tools such as Excel, SPC XL, Pi, and Access.
• Preferred: Quality leadership, coaching/mentoring, DMAIC Green Belt certification, and ISO 9001 or similar quality certification experience.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of statistical methods and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Quality leadership experience, including coaching and mentoring others.
• DMAIC Green Belt certification and ISO 9001 or comparable quality-system experience preferred.
• Collaborative, customer-focused self-starter who learns quickly, manages change effectively, and can stay organized while multitasking

The range for this position is $80,011.00 - $110,016.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
