Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

•    Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to support manufacturing goals.
•    Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of equipment control logic and production process flow.
•    Lead small project teams to achieve performance improvement targets in equipment reliability and capability, process yield, cycle time, uptime, and cost-effectiveness.
•    Support equipment and automation projects, including installation and testing.
•    Work with PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems as needed.
•    Help prepare work scopes and manage contractors.
•    Oversee scheduling, budgeting, quality, supervision during installation, debugging, and start-up.
•    Communicate with vendors and team members to ensure project success.
•    Update procedures and technical documents as needed.
•    Weekend and shift work may be required.

Education & Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree above, major in Electrical, Mechanical or Physical Engineering or other engineering related
•    3 years’ work experience at least

Required Skills

•    Familiar with Mitsubishi PLC, HMI application.
•    Familiar with equipment control system design.
•    Familiar with electrical control component application, such like Inverter, Servo Motor, Sensor, signal translator, etc.
•    Experience in Robot Application (Fanuc or AB or Yaskawa robot)
•    Problem solving skill on troubleshooting of EQ failure
•    Skill in software of Windows Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, etc.

Desired Skills

•    Skill in Auto CAD
•    Skill in C# / Python
•    Project management skill
•    Process concept understanding.
•    English proficiency: CET4 is a plus.
•    Safety Awareness
