Engineer I & II

Sr. Melting Process Engineer (Sustainability)

• Lead the process development and migration for melting process emission improvement and Energy consumption reduction
• Work with Facility, process design, ESH, Melting technology team, Glass tech and plant engineering team to integrate new technologies with operation tanks to achieve Sustainability target
• Worldwide manufacturing support for Emission and energy consumption reduction. 
• Execute technical analysis of the melting process and drive to conclusions to promote improved process capability.
• Lead/Support process standardization, documentation, and governance.

Education & Experience

• BS degree or above - major in chemical / mechanical engineering or science
• 5 years or above related experience in Corning or chemical / mechanical engineering industry
• Preferred to have facility background
• Project leading skill and process development experience

Skills

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of thermal and/or chemical process
• Experiment design and execution
• Methodology – Six Sigma, DMAIC, Project Skills and so on
• Data analysis experience – Statistical knowledge, data science tool kit is a plus. 

Desired Skills:

• Mature communication skills and team leadershi
• Problem solving and decision making.
• Hands-on experience in fab is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Good communication and coordination skills in Chinese and English.
• Positive attitude and interpersonal skills
• Keen for challenge the goal and work under high pressure
• English proficiency : TOEIC 550 is a plus
