POSITION DESCRIPTION
Purpose of the Position:
• Partner/Work with HR manager to establish a sound HR foundation in hiring/selection, learning and development and performance management and build a positive working environment to retain the talent.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Work out with business partner to define hourly employee hiring plan and partner with HRM to establish a comprehensive hiring strategy to make sure on time in full delivery;
• Establish and maintain a solid training system so that business-critical training needs are analyzed and followed through;
• Partner/work with HRM to work out yearly training plan and budget and execute the training plan with rigor;
• Work with business partner to define yearly qualification system (PFS) for hourly employee to satisfy business development, ramp up and speedy expansion needs;
• Partner with HRM to set up internal trainer system and build a sound recognition system to internal trainers;
• Work with business department to run talent planning for hourly employee to fulfil right talent in the right place with right skills through identification of key positions, working out key talent development plan and having a sound succession plan to support business development; 
• Partner with HRM to work out a robust performance management system to set up performance culture and retain the talent;
• Being qualified and certified to support customer audits;
• Based on core value of Corning, work with HRM to set up a positive and winning environmental culture to better retain employee;
• Labor contract management for employees and be responsible for employee filing/archive;
• General training-related reports and other reports on ad hoc basis;
• Other tasks assigned by HRM.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree and above
• Minimum 3-5 yrs. HR relevant working experience and familiar with hiring, learning and development and talent planning modules
• Work experience in multi-national manufacturing companies preferred
• Human resources major preferred
