The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.

HR provides service offerings that align solutions to business challenges by ensuring the programs are Effective, Efficient, Global, Scaleable, and Repeatable.  Corning’s Values are operationalized by the HR Function through the facilitation of Talent Management offerings, as well as programs and processes that aid in making Corning’s Values visible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Operations Support
    • Manage employee attendance and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Oversee onboarding and offboarding activities, including preparing necessary documentation and coordinating orientation to ensure seamless employee experience.
  • Employee Relations
    • Address employee inquiries and provide prompt, effective solutions to HR-related issues.
    • Build and maintain open communication channels with employees to promote a positive and engaged workplace environment.
    • Recruitment Support
    • Conduct interviews in collaboration with hiring managers, ensuring an efficient recruitment process and delivering a positive candidate experience.
  • HR Data and Records Management
    • Work closely with HRSS to provide accurate and timely information during data exchanges.
    • Generate reports and support data analysis for HR metrics, contributing to informed decision-making.
  • Policy and Compliance Support
    • Assist in the implementation of HR policies, ensuring alignment with labor laws and company regulations.
    • Support government reporting and compliance filings to maintain regulatory adherence.

Education & Experience:

•    Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, or compliance roles.
•    Experience in payroll management, onboarding/offboarding processes, and employee lifecycle management.
•    Proven track record of working with HR data, reporting, and analysis to drive insights and improvements.
•    Familiarity with HR systems and tools, with hands-on experience in managing employee records and data integrity.
•    Knowledge of labor laws, government regulations, and compliance processes.
•    Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including line managers and external stakeholders, for recruitment and HR initiatives.
•    Previous experience in a manufacturing or multinational environment is a plus.

•    Deeper understanding of payroll processes, attendance management, and employee lifecycle operations.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
•    Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
•    Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret HR metrics and data to provide actionable insights.
•    Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage employee issues effectively and diplomatically.
•    Adaptability and flexibility to handle dynamic work environments and shifting priorities.

Desired Skills:

•    Functional understanding of SAP/ people soft systems. 
•    Green Belt certification is preferred.
