Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

•    Maintain and improve operational processes to support consistent daily performance.
•    Identify and resolve issues related to materials, processes, or equipment to minimize disruptions.
•    Contribute to the enhancement of systems, technologies, and methods for efficient operations.
•    Lead or support projects aimed at improving performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
•    Monitor and report on key performance indicators.
•    Provide training and support to team members on new procedures or equipment.
•    Implement and document changes to ensure continuous improvement.
•    Ensure processes and products meet quality standards and requirements.
•    Assist with the introduction of new products or services, including supporting implementation and training as needed.
•    Provide coverage or support during weekends or shifts, as required.

Education & Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
•    Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Required Skills

•    Experience with technology-based Glass inspection and quality assessment
•    Strong problem-solving abilities, especially for process-related issues.
•    Understanding of process control and capability to analyze data.
•    Proficiency in common office software (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•    Experience with digital tools and data analysis software is an advantage.
•    Familiarity with quality concepts and methodologies.
•    Effective report writing and presentation skills.
•    Good communication skills in English.

Desired Skills

•     Strong project management abilities.
•    Understanding of mechanical equipment and control systems.
•    Experience with process improvement methodologies such as DMAIC or Six Sigma.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Awareness of safety practices in the workplace.
