The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

•    Partner with business users to analyze requirements and define IT solutions.
•    Design system architecture and development plan aligned with enterprise standards.
•    Develop and enhance applications using standard platforms (.NET, Web, API, Database).
•    Perform testing and deployment to ensure applications meet performance, reliability, and security requirements.
•    Provide daily support and troubleshooting for plant systems (MES, SAP, custom apps).
•    Stay updated with company digital roadmap and emerging technologies.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics or related field

Required Skills

•    Experienced in manufacturing related system design and development.
•    Programming skills in .NET (C#/VB), Web (JavaScript/HTML) and Python etc.
•    Strong database knowledge (SQL / Oracle).
•    Experience with system integration (API, middleware, MVC frameworks)
•    Good written English skill and common spoken English skill

Desired Skills

•    Project management and ITSM experience
•    Certain infrastructure knowledge, good hands-on experience.
•    Familiar with popular AI platforms like GPT and Copilot, skills of RAG/GenAI/LLM etc.
•    SAP operation (especially PTP / LES / manufacturing integration)

Soft Skills

•    Good communication skills and teamwork.
•    Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
•    Continuous learning and adaptability.
