Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Work with plant cross-function team, CET Division Engineering team, to provide engineering expertise for Plugging and APT process and support performance improvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Support day to day production, set rigorous discipline for process control
- Plan, organize and execute major projects to deliver improvement and step change capabilities
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles and methods to reduce defects/upsets through root cause identification and resolution
- Drive continual improvement and strive for error-proofing engineering solutions.
Requirements: Education & Experience
- Bachelor degree or above in engineering (ceramic, materials, or chemical preferred)
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in automotive industry or any respective fields
- Experience working in multinational companies strongly preferred
Requirements: Required Skills
- Good command of English in both oral and written
- Capable of driving continuous improvement
- Technical proficiency in process engineering
- Strong data analytical and visualization skills (JMP/Minitab…)
- Data driven problem solving and decision making, willingness to deep dive into technical details for complex issues
- Familiarity with Project Management methodologies, experience leading capital/6sigma project is highly preferred
Requirements: Desired Skills
- Demonstrated technical expertise in process improvement.
- Familiarity with FEMA & CP
- Good presentation skills
