Process Engineer

Role Purpose

Support and maintain the decoration and clean process stability.
Main lead to develop and implement technical solutions of clean(ultrasonic/brush) process to achieve the manufacturing performance objectives for the lowest possible costs, advantaged product attributes, superior quality and consistent, reliable operations.
Develop and improve decoration and clean process capability and capacity to achieve high quality, high efficiency and low cost.

Key Responsibilities

•    Understand customers’ requirements on decoration through drawing and specification documents, transferring the requirements to decoration process drawings, control plans and SOS to guide production.
•    Improve cleaning ability by combining understanding of Decoration process, implement process control and supervise process monitoring, ensure steady process output and consistent product quality.
•    Develop and optimize cleaning/washing processes to ensure clean quality and efficiency.
•    Participate in developing and implementing manufacturing washing/cleaning process for different products.
•    Lead problem-solving efforts, providing technical expertise to ensure timely resolution of process issues.
•    Lead experiments and performance improvement projects to achieve target goal, including product quality, yield, uptime, lowest cost and capacity. 
•    Work with equipment/control engineers to optimize process/equipment interactions. Work with related process areas to identify and optimize process interactions.
•    Weekend and night shift overtime are required if there is emergency.

Experiences/Education - Required

•    BS or above with engineering or science major, chemical or materials engineering a plus.
•    ~3+ years working experience in Glass and Semiconductor cleaning/washing/decoration.
•    Experience with glass manufacturing a plus.

Required Skills

•    Solid knowledge on glass surface properties and surface characterization. 
•    Solid knowledge on glass surface cleaning/ washing process and fundamentals.
•    Strong analysis and problem-solving capability: solid knowledge of chemistry, physics and math, sharp observation, good logic, skillful in experiment design and data analysis.
•    Great learning ability to grasp new knowledge and skills to face new challenges.
•    Good communication skills to co-work with cross function team to hit the targets.
•    Good English listening, speaking, reading and writing, able to communicate with global colleagues.
