Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Understand customers’ requirements on decoration through drawing and specification documents, transferring the requirements to decoration process drawings, control plans and SOS to guide production.
- Create the process documents including VWI, SOP and so on to instruct onsite production, inspection and measurement, and revise them as conditions change.
- Monitor the process performance.
- Analyze and find out the root cause and create effective and efficient solutions when the process performance is below expectation.
- Lead the experiments and projects to improve the process capability and capacity to achieve high quality, high efficiency and low cost.
- Be the technical leader in the decoration process, introducing new technology and new equipment to improve the capability and capacity, to reduce the cost.
- Work with other process areas engineers to solve the problems related to decoration process.
- Support new product introduction through materials certifications, process certification, documentation and training.
- Train operators, shift leaders, engineers and managers.
- Weekend and night shift overtime are required if there is emergency.
Education & Experience
- BS or above with engineering or science major, chemical or materials engineering a plus.
- 5+ years screen printing experience.
- Experience with glass manufacturing a plus.
Required Skills
- Strong analysis and problem-solving capability: solid knowledge of chemistry, physics and math, sharp observation, good logic, skillful in experiment design and data analysis.
- Great learning ability to grasp new knowledge and skills to face new challenges.
- Good communication skills to co-work with cross function team to hit the targets.
- Good English listening, speaking, reading and writing, able to communicate with global colleagues.
Desired Skills
- Project management experience
- Understanding of equipment machinery and control
- Understanding of DMAIC, Lean and Six-Sigma methodology
- Experience working in clean room environment
