Purpose of the Position

 

  • Provide subject matter expertise in glass visual inspection and product quality confirmation in both manufacturing and at customer.
  • Ensure the inspection processes are establishment in alignment with the customer standards.
  • Coach manufacturing and customer to inspect surface cosmetics and edge defects of Auto-Interior products.
  • Work with US and on-site engineering team for defect analysis and evaluate inspection spec in glass cosmetics. 
  • Track manufacturing compliance to procedures and processes.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities

 

• Lead and solve process quality issues with operation an engineering team

• Coach inspection skills to inspectors.

• Support the development of inspection education and certification system.

• Quality verification in products in manufacturing before each shipment.

• Align inspection requirement between manufacturing and customers.

• Implement proper inspection tools, methodology and product specification per customer standard.

• Support IQC and OQC at customer site when required. Collect voice of customer and feedback to AI engineering team

• Verify product quality and defects judgment for rejected samples.

• Service to US based and on-site engineering team for defect analysis.

• Performs in-process audits to assure that all activities required in the SOP’s are completed accurately and all documentation is completed.

• Support implementation Lean & Error Proofing solutions within manufacturing relevant to inspections

 

Education and Experience

 

• Bachelor and /or above degree majoring in engineering or science.

• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience

• At least 1 year of APQP/PPAP Experience

 

Required Skills

 

• Understanding of IATF 16949. If doesn’t have this experience, has experience in a highly rigorous industry with strict adherence to an ISO standard.

• Consistently utilizes data for decision making

• Understands SOP/SOS applicable to area of expertise and works to ensure compliance

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Learns new technical skills easily

• Good English skills written and oral 

 

Desired Skills

 

• Understanding of IATF 16949. If doesn’t have this experience, has experience in a highly rigorous industry with strict adherence to an ISO standard.
