Purpose of the Position

 

The individual will work in the Product & Process Development Center of AGS, Hefei, Anhui Province, China.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities

 

• Development of new decoration (ink printing) process technologies

• New materials development, including inks, adhesives, and other coating materials, materials characterization

• Addressing materials and process issues in manufacturing, and improving product performance & cost

• Helping address customer issues related to materials & processes

 

Education and Experience

 

  • An advanced degree (PhD or MS) in Materials Engineering, Materials Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines,
  • with >2 years’ industry experience, is required.
  • Glass processing industry experience is a plus.

 

 Required Skills Key skills 

 

• Solid background in materials science, especially organic materials, and materials analysis/characterization tools

• Extensive experience in process development and materials handling

• Experience in ink materials and ink printing (process and/or equipment) for glass application is a big plus

• Hands-on in designing and performing experiments independently, data collection/analysis

• Good communication skill. Good at working with people of diverse background Overall, the individual is expected to be a to-go SME/technical lead in ink printing for automotive glass.
