Recruiting Job Description (listed as below) - Purpose of the Position "• Responsible for process engineering assignments in projects, including mechanical design, prototyping, installation, acceptance, and start-up for thermal/fluid equipment and process in all Corning Businesses • Develop technical competencies and expertise in equipment and process engineering with fundamental understanding • Build-on communication, harmony, leadership and project management skills on dynamic fast-pace projects in timely manner. • Detail-oriented and able to perform with limited supervision under time pressure. • Live in Corning values, integrate cultures, nurture strategic thinking and ability to influence." - Day to Day Responsibilities "• Work on assigned project, no specific daily job." - Project involved with "• Polymer flow modeling and simulation • Solving the process problem and process development • Thermal/fluid equipment design and modification and installation • Thermal/flow process design and improvement" - Reporting Structure " Technical manager  Department manager  Director" - Direct reports No - Regular shift Yes - Education and Experience "• Possess MS/PhD degree in mechanical, material, chemical or related fields in process engineering applied for flow/thermal (plastic injection molding) process design • Strong fundamentals in polymer mold flow/rheology, fluid-dynamics, heat transfers and thermodynamics • 3+ year (5+ for Sr.) academic experience in injection molding process analysis and numerical modeling" - Required Skills "• Familiar with MoldFlow, Moldex3D commercial software. • Understand mold design and fabrication principles. • Good computer and 2D/3D CAD skills. • Familiar with statistical data-analysis. • Effective listening, oral, and written communication skills in English. • Proactive, creative, and positive as a team player to achieve project objectives with high quality. • Detail-oriented and able to perform with limited supervision under time pressure. • Using C/C++ for simulation coding is a plus. • Frequent domestic or international travel is required. • Diversity of experience and background is an asset." -Job Selling Points / Career Development Opportunities " Opportunity to different thermal process engineering practice in world leading specialty glass and ceramics industry.  Exposure to multi-cultural working environment." - Travel Requirements Up to 70% domestic/international (mainly in Asia) travel depending on project(s) assigned.
