Purpose of the Position:

The Corning Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence is building world class recruitment capability globally.  The selected candidate for this role will play an important role to support process improvements, field education & training so that talent acquisition becomes a core capability for the HR function as a whole.


  • Implement, track and follow Talent Acquisition programs, processes and policies directly support the attraction and indirectly support the retention of the number and type of talent required to execute against business strategy
  • Implement, track and follow Talent Acquisition programs, processes and policies establish and reinforce Corning Values and positive work environment, while complying with all legal and regulatory requirements within the hiring activities the Talent Acquisition consultant is responsible for
  • Support and help Talent Acquisition stakeholders and clients fully understand the value, benefit, and use of Talent Acquisition programs, processes and policies
  • Follow up the standards and guidelines are understood and consistently applied
  • Looking at cost effectiveness and continue to drive operational efficiency in China
  • Understand the current market talent acquisition activities and look at suitability in implementing within China
    Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Support change management strategies that ensure successful implementation and ongoing use of Talent Acquisition programs, processes and policies
  • Implements Talent Acquisition programs, processes and policies in compliance with current legal and regulatory policies and in direct or indirect support of Corning Values and positive work environment objectives
  • Support for Talent Acquisition projects and work closely with China Talent Acquisition Manager around the region to ensure operational excellent can be promoted and implemented
  • Implement Corning Campus recruitment activities and follow the plan to ensure it is world class standards.
  • Implement and follow up Talent Acquisition programs, processes and policies and external market practices to suggest opportunities for continuous improvement to better meet corporate, business, function and employee needs
  • Assists in reporting on the performance and impact of Talent Acquisition programs and provides recommendations to ensure achievement of targeted results
  • Develops and maintains subject matter expertise through independent research and participation in company / professional groups
  • Identifies and suggests trends and enabling technologies that will improve ability to meet strategic objectives
  • Collaborates with BUHR partners, business leaders, and other HR Center of Excellence to leverage their expertise to expedite integration of business-relevant programs, processes, policies and systems
  • Interacts with vendors per service level agreement (SLA), as needed, to maximize delivery of outsourced services
  • Implements Talent Acquisition projects to cost, quality, delivery, and business impact expectations
  • Educates customers about when and how to properly use Talent Acquisition programs, processes and policies
  • Data analysis and reporting to enhance Talent Acquisition programs efficiency and effectiveness

  • RPO projects
  • Expansion, M&A, any other business growth project, etc
  • Branding projects both internal and external
  • Campus hiring and internship program
  • Other Asia based projects involved China

Education & Experience  


  • Bachelor’s degree above
  • Overall 6-7 working experiences with 3-4 years Talent Acquisition experiences in industrial company, corporate or plant, both is better.
  • Good experience working with mid-level to senior level managers
  • Good experience of hard to fill and high volume hiring
  • Solid experiences in hiring process from end to end, familiar with sourcing, mapping, assessment, talent market research skills and methodologies

  • Good presentation skills and training deliver skills
  • Efficient computer skills, especially in PPT and Excel
  • Fluent English both oral and written
