Position Overview:
The HVAC Process Water Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the process chilled water plant and HVAC systems. This includes centrifugal chillers, pumps, control systems, AHUs, ERUs, RTUs, and refrigeration equipment. The role focuses on ensuring reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of HVAC/R systems supporting manufacturing operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor process chilled water systems and HVAC equipment.
  • Implement preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Optimize system performance and implement energy-saving measures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain accurate records.
  • Train and mentor technicians, fostering technical development.
  • Collaborate with engineering and facilities teams for maintenance activities.
  • Prepare reports on system status and maintenance schedules.
  • Use Building Management Systems (BAS/BMS) to monitor system performance.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC training preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in HVAC systems, particularly in industrial settings.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems.
  • EPA certification for refrigerants handling.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Use of protective equipment such as gloves, head protection, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and glasses/goggles.
  • Work conditions include exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, humidity, fumes, and chemicals.
  • Work with hand tools, HVAC equipment, and material handling systems.
  • Indoor work: 70%; Outdoor work: 30%.

US Salaried:
The range for this position is $69,691.00  -  $113,248.00  assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
